![]() ![]() The Armored Core series has been around since the PlayStation 1 era, with 2005’s Armored Core: Last Raven being the first game Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki ever worked on. That might seem obvious considering it’s by the same people behind Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice but while last year’s smash hit Elden Ring was a little more approachable than the FromSoftware norm, that same sense of leniency has not been extended to Armored Core 6. With Armored Core 6 though, the post-preview chit-chat felt more like a group therapy session.Įveryone agreed the game was very good, and they enjoyed the combat and movement system, but the overriding topic of conversation was how impossibly difficult it was. This is always cordial, but people are often guarded in their comments, lest they give away some insight that had not occurred to the others. ![]() Whenever there’s a preview event for a new game, all the journos in attendance usually get together at the end to share their thoughts and discuss what they played.
